Chapter 29  -  The 1910s


A month after that momentous event, the bringing in of the giant well, Petrero deI Llano #4, De Golyer was back in class in Norman, Oklahoma, to Spend the second semester of 1910-1911 in completlng his education. He was granted a leave of absence at full pay for educational purposes by the Mexican Eagle Oil Company. Lord Cowdray was generous to a fault and he was taking no chances of losing "my lucky charm" as he termed De Golyer.
